Default Equipment

Written by Ryan Duffy

What is it?

Each subsidiary has a default equipment type that they allocate to loads. Users are able to set their subsidiary-level default equipment type to be used for load creation (by load entry or by tender acceptance).

In addition, each customer ships a majority of their loads on one equipment type. Users are able to set the customer-level default to be used for load creation (by load entry or by tender acceptance).

Important note:

  • customer-level default may override subsidiary-level default

  • load-level equipment may override customer-level default

  • If the default equipment for the customer and subsidiary are not defined, it should be left blank, giving the user the possibility to define that upon load entry

  • Equipment length is NOT a requirement any longer, when completing load entry

Where is the Default Equipment functionality accessible from?

Default Equipment is a field which offers the full list of trailer types. This can be set at:

  • tenant-subsidiary level
