Summary
This page is the admin's setup guide for Custom Reports. It covers the two tasks every tenant admin handles: turning the feature on, and deciding who can do what inside it.
If you're an end user looking for how to use Reports, start with Get started with Custom Reports.
π Who can do this: Admin or Partner Admin.
Step 1 β Enable Custom Reports
Open Manage β Integrations.
Find the Custom Reporting card.
Toggle it on.
What happens when it's on
The Custom Reports sidebar group appears for every user on the tenant who has Reports access β Admins, Partner Admins, plus any users with Reporting Access set to Analytic or Viewer.
Your tenant gets an Alvys-curated dashboard catalog. Admins and Partner Admins can view these dashboards by default; you grant access to other users via the Reporting Access dropdown (Step 2 below).
The Visualization Designer becomes available so Admins, Partner Admins, and Analytic users can author their own visualizations and dashboards β see Get started with Custom Reports.
Admins, Partner Admins, and Analytic users can share dashboards, schedule recurring exports, and create alerts β see Share, export, schedule, alert.
Step 2 β Assign Reporting Access to your team
By default, only Admins and Partner Admins have Reports access. Everyone else on the tenant needs their Reporting Access dropdown set to Viewer or Analytic before they can use Reports.
The three values:
None β no Reports access. Default for non-admin Alvys roles.
Viewer β view dashboards shared with them. Read-only.
Analytic β view, author dashboards and visualizations, schedule exports, create alerts.
To assign:
Open Manage β Users and pick the user.
In User Info, find the Reporting Access dropdown.
Pick None, Viewer, or Analytic.
Save.
See the capability matrix below for the full breakdown.
Roles & permissions
Reports access works in two layers:
Your Alvys role β Admin, Partner Admin, or another Alvys role β sets your baseline capabilities.
Your Reporting Access β None, Viewer, or Analytic β set per user in Manage β Users β User Info by an Admin or Partner Admin.

Quick lookup
I just need to view a dashboard someone made me. Make sure your Reporting Access is at least Viewer. The dashboard owner shares it with you.
I need to build dashboards or visualizations. Need Reporting Access = Analytic, or be an Admin or Partner Admin.
I need a dashboard emailed to me every Monday. Need Reporting Access = Analytic, or be an Admin or Partner Admin.
I need to give access to someone new. Need Admin or Partner Admin role.
Turn off Custom Reports
To disable Custom Reports for the tenant:
Open Manage β Integrations.
Toggle the Custom Reporting card off.
The Custom Reports sidebar group disappears for everyone on the tenant. Scheduled exports and alerts stop firing. Dashboards and visualizations your team has authored are preserved β they reappear when you re-enable the integration on the same tenant.
β οΈ Disabling does not delete authored content. It's safe to toggle off temporarily for troubleshooting.
