Relay Payments Fuel Integration

Written by Ryan Duffy

How do I set up the Relay Payments fuel integration?

Relay Payments offers a cardless, digital solution for managing fuel transactions. With this integration, all fuel purchases made through Relay are automatically imported into Alvys each day and displayed on the Fuel Report and Pay Drivers pages.

Who should do this? Office managers or administrators with access to integration settings and driver management.

Why use Relay Payments?

Relay Payments was the most requested integration from Alvys customers. Relay offers a state-of-the-art digital system that simplifies and secures the fuel payment process. Unlike traditional fuel cards, Relay enables real-time, cardless transactions, reducing fraud risk and streamlining driver workflows.

Request the Alvys integration from Relay

Before setting up the integration in Alvys, you need to enable it on the Relay side.

Contact your Relay account representative and request the Alvys fuel integration. The Relay team will activate the 16-digit Relay Driver ID in your Relay portal. This ID functions like a card number in Alvys and is required to sync transaction data to your drivers.

Once enabled, the Relay Driver ID will be stored on each driver's profile in Relay, as shown below:

Once Relay has activated the integration for your account, follow these steps to connect it in Alvys.

Go to the Integrations page in Alvys, select Fuel Cards, then choose Relay. Enter your Token ID (provided by Relay) to authenticate the connection.

Add Relay Driver IDs to driver profiles

For fuel transactions to be attributed to the correct drivers, you need to add each driver's Relay Integration ID to their profile in Alvys.

Navigate to the Driver Details page for each driver who will use Relay. Click to add a fuel card number, then enter the driver's Integration ID from Relay. Configure the deduction settings for each transaction type as needed.

Once the integration is active and driver IDs are configured, transactions will automatically import daily.

Daily import: Alvys imports all Relay transactions every day at 5 AM Eastern Time.

Transaction visibility: Imported transactions automatically appear in the Fuel Report and the Pay Drivers section for accurate payroll and reimbursement.
