🗣️ Roles: Admin, Partner Admin
Overview
MacroPoint integration provides both inbound and outbound visibility for your loads. Inbound visibility gives you more control over tracking request creation and processing, while outbound visibility automatically shares location and status data with your trading partners who use MacroPoint for tracking.
MacroPoint Inbound Visibility
MacroPoint inbound adds more control over the functionality and tracking request creation process. By integrating this feature, you ensure that tracking requests are generated and processed more efficiently, allowing for better oversight and accurate monitoring of shipments.
This enhanced control helps prevent errors, improve data accuracy, and streamline communication, ultimately leading to more effective management of logistics operations.
⚠️ MacroPoint inbound integration requires a paid plan with MacroPoint.
Request MacroPoint Credentials
To set up your MacroPoint inbound integration, you'll need to request credentials from MacroPoint including your MacroPoint ID, API Password for managing tracking requests, and FTP Password to submit carrier details.
Request these credentials by email at [email protected] or through the MacroPoint Service Desk at 1-888-544-3844, Option 2.

Initiate and Manage MacroPoint Tracking
After the load has been dispatched, you can initiate a tracking request by accessing it from the Tracking option in the Action Ribbon.
Adjust the information in the request and click Track to initiate monitoring.
Once a tracking request has been created, you can manage it from the Action Ribbon, where options to pause, resume, or stop tracking are available.
MacroPoint Outbound Visibility
MacroPoint Outbound Visibility incorporates the Visibility Service, which utilizes company level preferences to determine and transmit the most accurate location data to providers such as MacroPoint, Project44, and FourKites. The objective is to optimize the tracking process by receiving updates and providing tracking visibility.
💡 MacroPoint outbound integration only requires the customer receiving the updates to have a paid plan with MacroPoint.
Why Outbound Visibility Matters
MacroPoint Outbound enables visibility of both inbound and outbound tracking updates. It automatically shares data including location from ELD, check calls, and inbound tracking, as well as statuses like Dispatched or Covered, Dispatched when the first stop arrives, In Transit, and Delivered.
Set Up MacroPoint Outbound
Navigate to Management > Integrations > Visibility > Outbound and enter your MacroPoint ID and Password. Select relevant subsidiaries for outbound visibility and configure outbound sharing settings such as locations, statuses, and frequency of updates.
Once configured, automatic updates can be set up directly within the customer profile, similar to the process outlined in EDI Auto Updates.
