What is it?
This feature enhances our TruckerTools integration by allowing you to send automated tracking updates directly from TruckerTools to your customers IF you are using TruckerTools for inbound tracking. You can now configure these outbound notifications right from the Customer Profile, choosing what load information is shared and how often.
Why is it important?
This update provides you with more control and flexibility over how your customers receive tracking information. By enabling direct updates from TruckerTools, you can:
Improve Customer Satisfaction: Provide real-time, automated tracking updates directly to your customers, reducing manual communication.
Streamline Workflows: Consolidate your inbound and outbound TruckerTools tracking management within Alvys.
Enhance Data Control: Select specific load details (Order #, PO #, Load #) and contact emails to be included in the updates.
How is it used?
Configure on Customer Profile: Navigate to a customer's profile in Alvys. In the "Auto Updates" section, you'll find a new "TruckerTools" card. Here, you can:
Enable Outbound Updates: Use the new checkbox to turn this functionality on or off. It will default based on your customer's existing TruckerTools outbound setting.
Select Contacts: Choose multiple customer contacts to receive email notifications.
Set Email Interval: Define how often (in hours) your customers receive email updates.
Map Load Number: Select which load identifier (Order #, PO #, or Alvys Load #) TruckerTools should use for customer communication.
Add Shipper ID: Optionally provide a Shipper ID.
Initiate Tracking Request: When you create or update a TruckerTools tracking request in Alvys, the settings configured on the customer profile will automatically apply to determine how outbound updates are sent. You'll also see an "Open Customer Profile in New Tab" link for quick access to these settings.
