Master ELD is an electronic logging device solution that tracks driver hours of service and vehicle locations. This integration allows Alvys to pull real-time location data from your Master ELD-equipped trucks and trailers, giving you visibility on the Asset Map and in dispatch planning.
To get started, you'll need an API key from Master ELD, then configure the integration in Alvys and map your assets.
Getting your Master ELD API key
Before you can connect Master ELD to Alvys, you'll need to obtain an API key.
You can either generate the API key directly from your Master ELD platform, or contact your Master ELD representative and request the API key. Once you have it, you're ready to configure Alvys.
Setting up the integration in Alvys
Once you have your API key, you're ready to configure Master ELD in Alvys.
Navigate to Company Profile by clicking your profile icon in the lower left corner, then select the subsidiary you want to configure and click the Integrations tab.
Expand the ELD section and click the pencil icon on the Master ELD card.
Enter your Master ELD API Key and click Save.
Alvys will validate your credentials. If everything looks good, the integration will be active.
Mapping assets for location tracking
Now that the integration is configured, you need to tell Alvys which Master ELD asset ID corresponds to each truck or trailer.
Go to Assets in the left menu and select Trucks or Trailers.
Double-click the asset you want to configure, then scroll down to the ELD Integrations section and click Add Integration.
Select Master ELD from the dropdown.
To find your Master ELD asset ID, open the asset in your Master ELD platform and look at the URL. For example, if the URL is app.mastereld.com/client/trucks/25236, the asset ID is 25236.
Enter the asset ID in the Integration ID field and click Save.

Repeat this process for each truck or trailer you want to track with Master ELD.
FAQ
Where do I find my Master ELD asset IDs?
The easiest way is to look at the URL when viewing or editing an asset in your Master ELD platform. The ID is the number in the URL path.
Can I track both trucks and trailers?
Yes, you can configure Master ELD tracking for both trucks and trailers by adding the integration to each asset type.
What happens if I enter invalid credentials?
As of February 2025, Alvys validates credentials before saving, so you'll see an error immediately if your API key is incorrect.
