The Motive integration connects your ELD and telematics data to Alvys, enabling real-time location tracking and operational insights. This article explains how to enable Motive on the Integrations page for the correct subsidiaries and then add each truck or trailer's Motive asset ID so data flows correctly between Motive and Alvys.

Before setting up the integration, make sure your subsidiaries are configured in Alvys.

Visit the Integrations page and expand the ELD Section of the integrations.

Click on the pencil icon next to the Motive Integration.

After making sure all the subsidiaries that have assets on that account have been selected, click Save.

A pop-up will appear saying you will be redirected to the Motive website. Select Yes to proceed.

Login using your Motive admin credentials and follow the screen prompts to allow Motive to share data with Alvys.

Before beginning this step, you'll need to have your trucks and trailers set up in the Alvys system.

Find the Assets option in the left menu and select either trucks or trailers depending on what you need to set up. From the list of assets, find and double-click the asset you want to configure. This will open the Edit Asset page.

On the asset page, scroll down to find the ELD Integrations section and click the blue Add Integration button. In the Add Integration window, click the drop-down menu and select Motive.

Next, find the Motive asset ID, which can be found in the hyperlink of the asset when viewing it within the Motive portal. For example, in the URL https://app.gomotive.com/en-US/#/fleetview/map/vehicle/867351-null-null/867351/live`, only use the highlighted portion: 867351.

Paste the ID into the Integration ID field in the Add Integration window and click the blue Save button. Repeat these steps for the rest of your Motive trucks and trailers.
